After the fall of the Emperor, the Rebel leaders formed the Alliance of Free Planets, a prelude to creating a New Republic. Finally they made it official as the Empire fell into disarray, leaders squabbling over who was in charge. Afterward only a scattered few holdouts remained a problem, more terrorists than true government and no longer recognized by Imperial leaders.
But even when the few remaining Imperials were not a threat, new dangers arose. This is the time of the New Republic, a time of rebirth and testing. A time when the Jedi begin their return.

During this time Jerec, the Fallen Jedi finds the Valley of the Jedi. Kyle Katarn who has been training with the Jedi spirit Rahn stops his plan to use it’s power to take over the Empire. This also brings closure as Jerec killed his father.

This sets the New Republic as the official government. However, Imperial Security Director Ysanne Isard left a bio engineered plague behind. This sets off a chain of events leaving the world devastated and force Rogue Squadron to go above and beyond to undo her plot.

Meanwhile he unleashes the Death Seed plague using the special droids powered by a central process made of a crystal that has to be smuggled off Nam Chorios. Weapon dealers have allied with him, supplying arms to local dissidents and causing civil strife. When it’s found the crystal tsils of the world that he are using are sentient and stop the Death Seed Plague, the Republic wins the victory

Possibly inspired by Desann, a former student of Vader, Hethrir, discovers a life form that strengthens, heals and purifies the Force in an individual if it doesn’t kill them. He kidnaps younglings to test for Force powers including the Solo kids selling the failures or non humans into slavery. He is foiled, but Desann’s apprentice Tavion has found another path. A Sith staff that takes power of Force strong areas and distributes it to her allies.
