The Star Wars Insider for years had short stories in amidst the articles, interviews and behind the scenes content. Tracking down all these stories is a challenge. But here we have a list of titles, authors and characters, with where they can be found.
The Star Wars Del Rey Samplers include articles and stories from many previous issues of the Star Wars Insider. Star Wars Insider Special Edition also includes previous articles as well as new content. The Star Wars Insider Fiction Collection was a collection of fiction from all the issues, unfortunately for the original canon fan, it left out many of our stories and included Disney canon as well.
This list is to give you an idea what is out there and which issues it’s available in. There were 148 issues before the Expanded Universe was cancelled. There were articles about the expanded universe after, but there are unlikely to be any stories. Years 2002 – 2006 and 2011-2014 are when the short stories came out. Note that 2014, of course, is when the reboot happened. Any after that year are not our original expanded universe stories, though up to that point the controversial The Clone Wars based ones are included.
