Era: Prequels
Pure white skin, red hair, this strong in the Force young woman led a difficult life. Aurra Sing was accepted as a Jedi Padawan by Anya Kuro, but her path would lead her far from the Jedi Order. She would become known as Nashtah, a vicious hunter even when she was a child.
Anya Kuro was known as the dark woman and had harsh techniques. Aurra Sing in turn, was a difficult student. The fact that her master refused to form connections, mistaking them for attachments, didn’t help the situation. When Aurra was taken by pirates, her master chose to let her go instead of pursuing her.
Eventually Aurra Sing was given over to the Anzati, when a Hutt caught her and saw her potential as an assassin. They implanted a sensor antenna so she could taste fear of victims as they did. She soon became a vicious bounty hunter. Her favorite prey was Jedi, since she blamed them for turning on her. She claimed the lightsabers of those she killed. Above all, she wanted revenge on her former teacher.
Aurra Sing worked for the Hutts to take down the leader of the Tusken Raiders. The raider, Sharad Hett, a former Jedi, knew the Hutts were intentionally sabotaging the delicate balance between settler and native to sell their weapons. He was leading the sandpeople in counterattacks to try and limit the crossfire from taking out the innocent, when the Hutts and arms dealers were the primary issue.
Aurra Sing would work for anyone who would let her kill Jedi. This included the Hutts and Count Dooku. Ki-Adi-Mundi, in discussing her with Eeth Koth, didn’t believe she had truly fallen to the dark, at least not when he’d met her. He believed she didn’t truly belong to either side.
Eventually, Aurra was foiled by Aayla Secura and landed in prison during the Clone Wars. In some ways, they were similar in that both had been lost to the Order at one point, but Aayla was rescued, and returned.
Many years after the New Republic took over and then the Galactic Alliance, Aurra Sing was once more on the loose and hired as an assassin to hunt the Queen Mother of Hapes.
