Expanded Universe Stories and Tie In.

There are also author links here of interviews and sites. Some of this gives insight into some of these stories.

Some links on this page go to the web archives (by necessity, as the original sites are gone.) They are only available as long as that is. I recommend if you really like anything linked, saving as web page, saving as pdf, or printing the information while its available.

Star Wars The Old Republic short stories (Don’t be fooled by it being a developer blog for the game. There are stories too.)

Note: Quite A Story to Tell had 2 versions released. The original contained a spoiler that a certain famous character, still lived. This character was apparently killed if playing the other faction. Later content confirms this person was ‘left for dead’.
This is not unusual, no matter how detailed and graphic the apparent death, for instance, Darth Malgus returned even after Ilum, although the revamped version of that flashpoint left it looking clear he was dead.

Star Wars Interviews has various Expanded Universe authors interviewed here. Unfortunately, the site was taken down and the domain claimed by someone else and pointed to their site (admittedly some of the interviews are on there. I have a post on this here.

A site called CCBanana had many actor interviews from the 30th anniversary of Star Wars and some mention the Expanded Universe. These include Daniel Logan (young Boba), Ray Park (Maul), Nalini Krishan (Barriss), Peter Mayhew (Chewie).

Audiobooks

I don’t know that these are official but as far as I know these young adult books didn’t get an official release at all, certainly not all of them. They are simple text to speech versions though so those who have reading issues can catch up.

YJKAudiobooks (there is more than just Young Jedi Knights, or even than just Star Wars.) They also have a Patreon which may have better ones for subscribers.

Videos

The Ewoks and Droids Adventure Hour is an officially approved release in the ’80s. Back then, these were expensive, innovative animations. You may be able to find on the Disney Channel. You can get some of them on DVD, unfortunately It’s not only incomplete, but it’s cheap double-sided discs and tends to ‘die’ quickly with use.

Droids Animated List. Sadly, these have never all been released on DVD. Unfortunately, YouTube can’t tell the difference between kids who grew up with this in the ’80s and ‘currently underage’. So I can’t add to my own playlists.

Ewoks Animated List. Again, these have never all been released on DVD. A few were released on VHS or in UK pal format.

Star Wars Holiday Special. It’s infamous for George Lucas wanted to smash every copy. His only involvement was signing off on them doing it, giving them the Wookiee family and allowing Boba Fett cartoon. At the time, he was too busy making The Empire Strikes Back to know what they were doing. The cartoon is worth it and for the record, the Chewbacca’s family has always been EU canon. Itchybacca (his dad) was even considered for a scene in Revenge of the Sith. His son Lumpawarrump appears in books and a short story. The idea of Lifeday has also been canonized in the EU, in both Star Wars the Old Republic and Galaxies video games.
